The majority of future students collide with the problems while they choose the university. What of the two variants if the best – to begin the studying in the University or to spend first two years in the Junior College?
There are many factors which can influence on the choice: the location of the educational institution, the career prospects, the tuition fee and the payment system, the additional opportunities and services etc. Below there is a list of important factors before the choosing of the educational institution.
On of the most important factors are the costs of education. Usually the studying in the local Junior College is cheaper than in the University. The credits received in the college could be transferred in the future during the studying in the university. Besides, the students save the money if they stay in their local area, because they do not have to spend costs on the transportation and on the accommodation in the university campus.
Besides the financial factors, the location is also very important. The students have to spend about five years in the university and then begin the career. Before the studying the candidates have to determinate their career goals and to chose the educational institution which gives the better career opportunities in the desirable sphere of economic. Some of the universities and colleges have the internship programs and other entry level position, so it is very significant to research all the offers and to choose the best variant.
The next factor refers to the career choice. It is better to choose that university, which have the best reputation and the best programs in the chosen major.
There are also many students who are interested in the athletic career and who want to get the higher education. For such people there are a lot of opportunities in the universities and colleges, because there are many educational institutions which provide the athletic scholarships for basketball, baseball, volleyball etc.
